After completing the Te Uku painting and getting so inspired, I wanted to do another painting ‘after Wolf Kahn’. Inspired by his ‘Deep Purple Barn’, I completed this painting of a building in the village of Friesach, Austria. The photo I took of this had scaffolding all over it, and other stuff, but I was fascinated by the windows. Windows and doors seem to be creeping into all my paintings lately, not sure why – just intrigued by their mystery I think.
This painting was sold in 2007.
