I have been accepted for the Artstation Painter’s Studio course for 2008 – two tutors to look after us for the year. Fantastic, very excited. Our group exhibition went very well for Painter’s Progress – I had three paintings selected and sold two of them – mind blowing and very exciting! I sold ‘Friesach’ and ‘Castleton’. ‘Castleton’ is a newer painting featured here:
I have been reading a set of novels by Bernard Cornwell, and love the use of the Old English names. As my latest or current series of paintngs is trying to portray the levels of history found in Europe, especially England, I have added these place names where applicable. You will see them come through. I am currently finishing off a painting based in Clovelly in Devon, England.
I have also been invited to exhibit with two others at Old Goverment House, Auckland University in March – not sure of the exact dates yet, but I will have the paintings ready for that one shortly.
