D B G Goodwin ‘From the Firth’

5th – 19th December 2010 David Bruce George Goodwin (Dave) b.1960. has been painting full time since 1987 and exhibiting annually in Auckland and Wellington since 1993. His work has been reviewed in Art New Zealand and the major daily newspapers. Goodwin was a finalist in the Waikato National Art Award in 2004, and the Adam Portraiture Award this year in 2010. Dave was initially best known for his deep shadowed landform paintings and cloud paintings which made up the bulk of his early shows. My nephew Gregory Kern has his first art exhibition! Tairua School Year 7 and 8 students present art work in conjunction with their global citizen studies. See six amazing, powerful works depicting our place in the world and our recognition of what it means to be a global citizen. Artstation’s year long programme in 2011

Coming to the end of this year at Artstation and are currently interviewing for the yearlong programme in 2011. They have developed a new course called ‘Professional Practice’ which has been developed for practicing painter’s who would like ongoing support over 8 weekends throughout the year. Hoping the group will create a great supportive environment and be an opportunity for strong networks to be formed. A brilliant year in all the year-long classes.
