Acccommodation in London booked!

Hard to find accommodation as apparently I am landing right in Wimbledom and Trooping of the Colour time so tourists galore. But I’ve found a great B&B close to the River Thames, and they have a study and desk where I can work away on my laptop. So I’ll spend the time working, walking around London and seeing the things I never have when I’ve stopped over there – and then to plan the stay up North where I would like to be during my stay – checking out the North York Moors, the Peak District and the Lake District. … Continue reading Acccommodation in London booked!

Okay I’m now nervous but still excited.

I have my flights all booked and now trying to tee up the accommodation! My Auckland studio maybe sub-let in a subtle way while I ‘m away so all is good – will be good if someone makes good use of it. Laxmi Jhunjhnuwala is having her first solo show at Mairangi Art Centre, opens on 9 June, Thursday @ 5pm so pop along and take a look – I’ll be missing it but will soak up the watercolour exhibition at the Tate as punishment. Off to England

Five years ago I visited England for the first time and was stunned by the history (like many, many before me). But that visit inspired so many paintings and so much of my art work since then, and I have always wanted to go back and stay awhile, research and thoroughly immerse myself in one area.
