New paintings and studio space

I’ve finished two new paintings and very pleased with both of them. The smaller one, Hauptallee, is pictured here and I’ll have the other image for you soon. One is of the Hauptallee in The Prater in Vienna, and the other of the North York Moors.  I’ve really enjoying painting these, trying to capture the atmosphere, the feeling of being in these two places and their memories, their oldness, their years of history. Kathryn Stevens, Viewfinder

On Tuesday 5th I went to an opening for Kathryn Stevens at the Bath Street Gallery – Kathryn is one of my tutors at ArtStation this year. I am blown away by Kathryn’s work, I’m not sure I can put it into words. I’ve included one of the works here for you to see. Delayed

The course has been delayed a week due to ‘unforseen circumstances’ – big disappointment. But it will start soon enough, and hopefully we get an extra day somewhere. Starting Tuesday 12th February 9.00 to 3pm – my busiest day at work so will have to sort that for the rest of the year. But now the delay allows me to meet with the organising committee for the exhibition at Old Government House on Tuesday 5th. A lunch with them and the other two artists.
